A simple BBQ - Dairy Foods

Erik and I hosted our first BBQ of the season on Sunday evening. It was one of those perfectly sunny, warm evenings where all signs pointed to sitting out on our deck, staring out on our green lawn and firing up our grill.

Erik and I love our yard. It's big, so big you can run around in it and actually get tired. Big enough to play horse shoes, bean bags, and have a bonfires. We love our huge deck and cement patio. And we love hosting BBQs. My hubs and I are opposites in a lot of ways, but one of the things we have is common is our love of entertaining/having people over. Granted, what goes into entertaining differs big time for each of us. He picks up a 24 pack of beer and makes sure he isn't missing any dart tips. I, on the other hand, go a bit crazy as you all know.

But sometimes our idea of an evening entertaining friends is in perfect harmony. Like our Sunday BBQ. We had Libby and Biffer over, ate corn on the cob, burgers and roasted potatoes.  It was simple food, but all delicious.

None of us were trying to win any beauty contests this evening, clearly.

Have you hosted your first BBQ of the season yet?
